these yam-shaped squeakers are bioflourescent in the same way that moonfloofs are. they burrow into the sand and dirt to make a nest, and bring back food to share with their kids.
their ancestors lived in the sky, and you can still see some cute bald spots where they used to have wings.

oh! i *know* it's spelled that way, i'm checking my logs talking ot everyone and i spelled it that way, but i didn't notice i somehow messed up when writing the journal entry. i wonder if this is Cleru's typo instead of mine and i should keep it? 😆

That would be cute! Or maybe if you go back to that later once Cleru's had a chance to reread it, it's crossed out and the proper spelling written in? That would be annoying to implement without just making it a picture of text though, hm...
